Cobourg Police get a new ride

The Cobourg Police Service is taking a unique approach to help stop bullying.

They unveiled their newly re-purposed anti-bullying vehicle at Notre Dame Elementary School on Tuesday. The cruiser has the words “STOP Bullying” emblazoned on it. The town says the cruiser has been sponsored by Highland Shores CAS, The Children’s Foundation for Hastings, Northumberland & Prince Edward Counties, Rebound Child and Youth Services, and Safe Communities Northumberland County.

Cobourg, Ontario is a picturesque little town of about 18 thousand people, along the 401 at Highway 2 in Northumberland County.

Members of the police and the community were on hand for the unveiling. Officers were sporting pink dress shirts as part of their uniform.
