Taser used to subdue man spotted in stolen vehicle, parked in front of police headquarters

If you are going to steal a vehicle it’s probably not a good idea to take it to the police station.

Durham Regional Police say sharp eyed officers were at the Provincial Offences courthouse and recognized a wanted man, seated in a stolen vehicle, parked at Police Headquarters last Friday.

An officer approached the suspect and the male allegedly refused to exit the vehicle. Police say he resisted arrest and a struggle ensued. That’s when police say a taser was deployed and the suspect was eventually placed under arrest.

35 year old Donald Blake of Preview Drive in Port Perry is facing 29 charges including resisting arrest, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation.
